Who: Still unnamed — a large Vistani man who keeps the great tent at Tser Pool Encampment.
Status: ✅ Resolved, in the best way: he was the doorman, not the mystery. The mystery was Madam Eva.
First met: The final moment of Session 5.
What happened
At the close of Session 5 he stepped out of the great tent and spoke all five of our names — names we never gave — and said: “You are expected.”
In Session 6 he led us inside, to candles, black velvet, two decks of cards, and an old woman who had been waiting for us longer than we have been in Barovia. Everything he knew, he knew from her. See Madam Eva — and the field notes for what the cards said.
The question that remains
He knew our names because Eva knew our names. So the question simply moved one tent deeper: how long, exactly, has this camp known we were coming?
