Everyone we have met (or been menaced by) so far. These pages record only what we know — if it isn’t written here, we haven’t learned it yet.
The devil
- Strahd von Zarovich — vampire, lord of the land, our self-appointed host. He has met us. He owns the coins, the gate, and — by his own account — the land itself.
The living
- Ireena Kolyana — the burgomaster’s daughter, in our care until Vallaki. Strahd wants her.
- Ismark — her brother, the new burgomaster. Honest about the horrors; less honest about crypts.
- Father Donavich — the village priest. “Do what you must.”
- Granny the Pie-Seller — kindly old woman, suspicious pies. Nobody eats another pie.
- Mary — Lancelot’s owner; her daughter Gertruda is missing.
- Bildrath — the village merchant and his “outsider special” prices.
- The Man in the Tent — he knew all five of our names. Session 6 opens on him.
The dead, and the at-rest
- Doru † — the priest’s son, Strahd’s cruellest lesson. At rest by our hands.
- Rose & Thorn † — the children of Death House. Buried, freed, grateful.
- The Durst Household — the cult that built the horror under their own home.
The very good
- Lancelot — a dog. The best of us. Home safe.
