Yeska

Who: The altar boy at St. Andral's Church, eight years old, and Father Lucian's chosen successor.
Where: The church, roofless, with Father Lucian.
Status: Alive. He was carried out of the burning church by a guard.
First met: Session 7, our first evening in Vallaki.

The secret

Only Father Lucian and Yeska knew where the bones of St. Andral lay. He idolises Sirius, who let him hold his longsword (and took it back, since it isn't registered to him) and taught him push-ups, and he thinks Osric is so big and strong and so cool. Sirius persuaded him that the coolest thing you can do is keep a confidence, and out it came: "I told Milivoj. He's so cool, though." About ten days before, Milivoj had asked him out of the blue whether he knew any secrets about hidden things in the church. Cool people, we told him, don't ask you to share secrets. He promised to tell Father Lucian.

On the night the church burned, a guard carried him out alive.

Wings

At half past six on the morning after the festival he knocked on our door at the Blue Water. Father Lucian wanted to know what Sirius planned to say at the sermon he had invited the whole town to, which Sirius doesn't remember doing. Yeska also had news: "People are calling you an angel."

Sirius explained that his wings are on loan from the Morning Lord, and that anyone with enough faith could have them. Yeska heard only the last part. "Well, can I get wings?" Possibly, said Sirius, if he prayed long enough and did enough good. Yeska left saying "I'm gonna get wings," and he was not saying it to anyone in particular.
