What we know
- Wanted us gone, and priced his goods to say so — the “outsider special.” Sirius honey-tongued him down to a quarter of the marked price, and we kitted out properly: tents, packs, bedrolls, water skins, rations, whetstone, rope.
- He paid us for our spare crossbows in coins bearing the face of a gaunt man — the same face as the statue under Death House. Strahd’s face is on the money.
- One lesson learned in his shop: there are no healing potions to be had in Barovia for love nor gold. We kept ours. Guard yours.
