Handouts
The letters, maps, notices and scraps of paper Barovia has put in our hands, with their words typed out, in the order we got them.
Everything we have been handed, in the order it reached us. Each page says where we found it and what we made of it, and gives the words exactly as we were shown them. Where the only copy we have is what someone said aloud, the page says so.
-
The Letter from Death HouseFound in a trapped chest in the hidden study, addressed to "My most pathetic servant". The first time we ever saw the word Barovia, and the name at the bottom.
- The Verse on the WallIt appeared in dripping red on the wall of Death House's hall the moment the last of us stepped inside. Then the clock struck six.
-
Elisabeth Durst's LetterA crumpled page on the Dursts' dresser: her side of a correspondence about a ceremony, an absent husband, and a sacrifice she declines to call innocent.
-
Bildrath's Price List"The outsider special": Bildrath's price list for people from beyond the mists. Sirius talked him down to a quarter of it.
-
The Blood on the Vine MenuThe board over the bar at the silent tavern in the village of Barovia, where we first realised what Granny had charged us for pie.
-
Ismark's MapScribbled for us outside the church while we were down in the crypt with Doru. Scale dubious, sincerity total.
- Strahd's Letter to IreenaDelivered on the road to Vallaki by a wolf carrying roses. The third paragraph is a mechanism.
- The Festival FlyerHanded over at Vallaki's east gate. No date on it, children required, and a new law that had not yet made it to the printers: failure to attend is punishable by punishment.
- Notes from the RavensTwo notes left in our locked room at the Blue Water Inn. The first said Lady Wachter's raven was no raven. The second told us to prove ourselves.
- Ireena's SongSung from the Blue Water's little stage the night of the Wachter dinner, and the words passed round afterwards. She says she dreamed it.
- The Baron's WritWritten out by the Baron himself, one each, and sealed in wax. Flash it and your orders will be followed. The man who wrote it is dead.
- The Bard's NoteFive words, rolled up with a vampire hunter's kit the bard left for us the night before we opened the crates.
- Strahd's Letter to Lady WachterFound in a poison-needled strongbox in Lady Wachter's bedroom. We gave it to Izek, the Baron waved it at the festival, and it was in his hand when he died.
-
The Great MapThe great map of Barovia from the burgomaster's mansion, taken down on Ireena's order. Ravens, wolves, a castle at the top, and names we have only heard.
